Azerbaijan University students have taken part in the Third national knowledge contest named "Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani history".

Organized by the Heydar Aliyev Center in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the project aims to study the life and work of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, as well as to preserve and promote his heritage among the young generation. The project is also seeking to raise interest in knowledge competitions and education in general.

The competition was held in three rounds, each of which contained 12 questions on the life and work of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the history of Azerbaijan. The jury were comprised of the representatives of the Heydar Aliyev Center, the Ministry of Education and the Institute of History of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

The winning teams were determined by the total number of points earned in three rounds. The teams of 42 higher education institutions took part in this year’s competition. Each team consisted of 6 main and 2 substitute players. Azerbaijan University’s team earned the 14th place in the contest.
