A teacher at the Department of Organization of Social Work of Azerbaijan University Gulnar Alverdiyeva participated in the educational process at Hacettepe University in Turkey within the Mevlana Exchange Program. Our lecturer delivering a lecture on "Human Rights and International Social Work", "Social Services and Assistance in Social Policy" and "Social and Psychological Characteristics of Middle-Age period" to the students majoring in social work, attended a series of symposiums on social work in the two weeks program.
The lecture on "Human Rights and International Social Work" covers the subject on globalization, war, peace, refugee and internally displaced persons and projects aimed to improve people's prosperity and implemented by the international organizations, as well as international conventions that world countries and Azerbaijan joined.
Comparison of social policies between Azerbaijan and brotherly country Turkey, social services and assistance in social policies have been discussed in "Social Services and Assistance for Social Policy" lecture.
In the lecture on "Social and psychological features of the Middle Age” people's psychology, problems that may arise in the middle ages and ways to solve them, struggle with alchohol and drug addiction, family and business life problems and such issues have caused interest.
Our colleague discussed her experience in teaching social work in our country with her Turkish colleagues as well.
