The Azerbaijan University started the implementation of Dual-Diploma Program in cooperation with Kharkiv National Radio Electronic University in the Ukraine. Computer Sciences and Computer Engineering majors are included into the program on baccalaureate and Master`s degree.
Students wanting to participate in this program are selected through a competition. The selected students in baccalaureate get their first two-year education at the Azerbaijan University and they continue their education (3rd and 4th years) in Kharkiv National Radio Electronic University. The master students divide their 2 years between these two universities, - the first year at the Azerbaijan University, and the second year at Kharkiv University.
Whereas GPA for bachelor students should be at least of 71 after getting their second year education, for the first-year master degree students it is 81.
The education period for baccalaureates lasts 4 academic years, however, in Master`s degree it is 2 academic years. The subjects are conducted in two languages – English and Russian. For graduation, the students need to score 240 credits for baccalaureate, and 120 for Master`s degree on ECTS (European Credit Transfer System). Marking Criteria is based on the demands of the Bologne System.
The successfully graduated students will be honoured by the diplomas of two universities.
It needs to be mentioned that Kharkiv National Radio Electronic University being theleader in the studies as technology, radio engineering and electronics in the Ukraine is one of the top 5 in Europe in the field of cyber security and information technology.
The universities signed a memorandum of cooperation in June. The double diploma program is applied in accordance with the memorandum.
