The citizens of Azerbaijan must take part in the entrance examinations conducted by the State Examination Center (SEC) for admitting the University of Azerbaijan. International students may apply to the Azerbaijani University without taking part in the SEC exam. Admission of foreigners is based on the number of factors including the previous record of academic performance, applicant’s personal characteristics and etc.
Applicants for graduate programs of the Azerbaijan University are required the following documents to be sent via email or by post:
• Completed application form
• Copy of undergraduate diploma
• A copy of document proving the knowledge of English such as IELTS,TOEFL (or an official letter stamped by the university conforming that English was the primary language of their study)
• CV (Curriculum Vitae)
• Copy of International Passport
• Two letters of reference
• Statement of Purpose (300-400 words)
All documents are to be submitted in English.
Candidates whose applications are accepted will be required to bring the original of the above mentioned documents upon visiting the Azerbaijan University. Successful applicants will be notified about the status of application via email.
Short description of the study programme
The mission of the "Social Work in Different Areas of Life" is to teach undergraduates the opportunity for development and progress as a result of the interaction of the social system and society. This program serves to convey knowledge about social issues, social problems, social welfare and social work legislation, social policy, social work theories, and social work interventions. This program enhances the abilities to survey and analyze the needs, to implement the social work relevant to the results as well as to make research in this area. Masters are acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary for the social work profession, and are informed about the impact of religion, ethnicity, gender, age and functionality on people's rights and attitudes. People become aware of the interactions of people with the social environment regardless of their race, religion, age, gender, physical, mental, functional and social status.
