A training seminar on “Interactive search on the EBSCOHost platform and services of the EIFL.net consortium” was held at Azerbaijan University for its academic staff, master and PhD students. The event was organized within the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Library Information Consortium (Az.KIK).

Opening the training seminar, head of the Scientific Library Naila Nagiyeva noted that since 2018 Azerbaijan University has been a member of the Azerbaijan Library Information Consortium (Az.KIK), as well as the International “EIFL.net” Consortium (electronic information for Libraries). Within the framework of cooperation with the EIFL.net Consortium, Az.KIK organizes the provision of member organizations with literature relevant to educational and scientific fields, creation of digital archives in relevant libraries, provides them during the subscription period with access to the database of more than 11 thousand journals, 8 thousand 516 of which are peer-reviewed, more than 2 thousand 700 books and brochures, 510 newspapers and similar electronic sources.

Then, Jamila Yusifova, head of Az.KIK, representative of EIFL.net and EBSCO for Azerbaijan, informed about the services of the International EIFL.net Consortium, one of the world's two leading organizations in the field of librarianship, visually presented interactive search rules on EBSCO platform covering various fields of science and education to the participants. Jamila Yusifova also informed the participants about the rules of using academic databases, support for article publication and publication opportunities.

Nigar Ismayilova, head of the Scientific Library of Baku State University, also attended the event. Nigar Ismayilova spoke about the importance of Az.KIK cooperation with academic libraries, establishment of relations between influential international organizations, publishing houses and high school libraries.

At the end of the training seminar, the search systems according to the interest of the event participants were visually demonstrated, and their questions were answered.
