Izmir Dokuz Eylul University in Turkey hosted the International Congress on “Islam and Muslims in Russian literature and culture” with co-organisation of Azerbaijan University, Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, Moscow State Pedagogical University and the Russian Center in Turkey. The Congress, which was a member of the organizing committee of rector of Azerbaijan University Saadat Aliyeva and vice-rector for Scientific Affairs Yusif Gasimov, was organized in a hybrid format. 

Asif Hajiyev, member of the scientific committee and organizing committee of the Congress, professor of the Translation and Philology Department of Azerbaijan University, made a report on “Turks and Slavs in Eurasianism”, and Zuleykha Baghirzade, lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages, made a report on “The neo-rhetorical features of the Quran” and “Assessment of Islam in the 21st century and linguistic approach to the universal impact of its style”.
