Today, the 7th Republican scientific conference of young researchers was held at Azerbaijan University. 201 theses representing 36 higher education institutions, scientific centers, organizations, and research institutes in the fields of information and communication technologies, humanities, economics, social sciences and natural sciences were heard and discussed during the event day.

At the opening ceremony of the conference, the National Anthem was played, and the memory of the martyrs who gave their lives for the territorial integrity and independence of Azerbaijan was commemorated with a minute of silence. After that, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of Azerbaijan University, Doctor of Mathematical Sciences Yusif Gasimov spoke and said that young researchers who will represent Azerbaijan science in the best way in the future participated in the work of the event and informed about the research works presented to the conference.

Later, the speeches of the employee of the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Ministry of Science and Education, Dr. in Physics, prof. Elchin Huseynov, the Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies of Azerbaijan University Asif Pashayev, the lecturer of the Department of Economics and Management, PhD in Economics Oruj Gasymly were heard. It was noted in the speeches that today the fields of human activity related to science, technology and research are developing more. The main factor contributing to the victory of the Azerbaijani soldier in the Patriotic War was his unparalleled courage, on the other hand, the use of science, technology and innovation also played an important role. This war, which has already been added to the textbooks of many military schools, is an exemplary operation in terms of introducing new military technologies. Modern technologies are also widely used in the huge reconstruction and construction works carried out in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, as well as in the infrastructure projects implemented.

After the plenary session, the conference continued with the breakout sessions. The work of the event was organized in 8 breakouts: “History and Law”, “Philology-1”, “Philology-2”, “Economics-1”, “Economics-2”, “Sociology”, “Natural Sciences-1” and “Natural Sciences-2”.

At the end of the conference, the report of breakout chairmen was heard.

It should be noted that the purpose of the conference, which has been held annually since 2018 and is very rich in academic and scientific terms, is to provide young researchers studying at different degrees at different universities of Azerbaijan with a platform to present their scientific results. 

The theses submitted to the conference were published in bulk and presented to the participants during registration.
