Victory webinars have started at Azerbaijan University from today. In the webinar "Magnificent victory" organized by the department of social sciences, the head of the department prof. Gabil Aliyev congratulated the participants on the great and brilliant victory of the Azerbaijani Army in the Patriotic War and providing the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. The head of the department said that the victory in the returning back of the ancient and historical lands of Azerbaijan has a special place in the history of Azerbaijan and makes proud every Azerbaijani citizen.

Professor of the department Gasim Hajiyev stressed that the Azerbaijani Army has justly ended the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which has not been resolved for almost 30 years through the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group, and this great victory will always remain in the history of Azerbaijan.

Boran Aziz, associate professor of the department, informed about the history and stages of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and he said that despite the biased, one-sided and aggressive positions of the co-chairs, the conflict, which has a history of nearly 200 years, was resolved with the determination of Azerbaijan.

In his speech, Boran Aziz spoke about the tasks facing historians during the period of construction and restoration and the work they can do.
