Azerbaijan University continues to be ranked in international rankings. One of the most prestigious rankings in the world, the "Shanghai Ranking," has published the "Global Ranking of Academic Subjects." For the first time, Azerbaijan is represented in this ranking by two universities in the field of Mathematics.

The highest position in the ranking by country belongs to Azerbaijan University. The university is ranked between 301st and 400th place in this ranking.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan is the only country representing the South Caucasus region in the field of Mathematics in this ranking. The "Global Ranking of Academic Subjects" includes five broad fields—natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, medical sciences, and social sciences—across 55 subjects, with more than 1,900 universities from 96 countries worldwide.This ranking assesses the performance of universities worldwide in the relevant subjects based on five categories: world-class academic staff, world-class scientific indicators, high-quality research, research impact, and international collaboration.
