The Head of the Department of Political and Social Sciences at Azerbaijan University, Assoc. Prof. Elvin Talyshinski, Ph.D. in Political Science, and lecturer of the Department Eldar Jafarov, Ph.D. in Political Science, took part in a hybrid-format roundtable held at Yesenov University in Kazakhstan. The event, titled “Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan in the modern era: Heydar Aliyev’s role in advancing bilateral relations”, was dedicated to the memory of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people. 

The roundtable brought together leading experts, scholars, and public representatives from Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, including faculty and students from Yessenov University and members of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Aktau. 

Azerbaijan University staff participated in the academic event remotely. Elvin Talyshinski delivered a presentation titled “Shared future: prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan within the framework of the Turkic world dialogue”. Eldar Jafarov’s speech focused on the topic “Geopolitical dimensions of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan during Heydar Aliyev’s presidency”.

The roundtable was moderated by Ilkin Orujov, Director of the Azerbaijan Center in Kazakhstan and a faculty member at Yesenov University.
