The Department of Translation and Philology convened a meeting to conduct a preliminary discussion of the thesis titled “Art and artist problem in the prose of William Somerset Moem” authored by doctoral candidate Gunay Ismayilova, submitted in pursuit of a Ph.D. in Philology.

The thesis, presented during a session chaired by Gulnar Rzayeva, head of the Department of Translation and Philology, was thoroughly discussed and highly praised as a completed scientific research project.

It was concluded that the thesis meets the standards established by the Supreme Attestation Commission for the degree of Ph.D. in Philology and the thesis was recommended for the next stage of defense. 

The doctoral candidate’s academic advisor is Dr. of Philological Sciences, Prof. Gorkhmaz Guliyev.
