A poetry contest titled “You in Poetry” was held at Azerbaijan University, organized by the Student Scientific Society of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Sixteen students participated in the event, performing their original poems before a jury.

The jury comprised Safar Mammadov, dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences; Gulnar Rzayeva, head of the Department of Translation and Philology; Asif Hajiyev, professor at the Department; Huseyn Huseynli, lecturer; and Shakhriyar Del Gerani, a poet.

After extensive and heated discussions, the jury announced the results. Based on jury opinion: Islam Latifzade, a first-year student in State and Public Relations, secured third place with his poem “Tears”, Jansu Nazarova, a first-year student in Social Work, earned second place with her poem “I Miss You”, and Aqil Nuriyev, a first-year student in International Relations, took first place with his poem “My Love”. 

At the conclusion of the contest, the winners were awarded certificates and book prizes.
