Amir Nabiyev, a 3rd-year student in the specialty “Social Affairs” of Azerbaijan University performed as a soloist, at a concert entitled “Our national musical instruments are our national heritage” at the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic named after Muslim Magomayev.

The student performed the song “Aldatmayaq bir-birimizi” , words by Zivar Agayeva, and music by Haji Khanmamedov.

Vasif Javadov (tar), Gunel Gasimova (singer), Orkhan Huseynov (kamancha), Amin Abdullaev (tar), Amir Nabiev (singer), Kamal Mammadli (kamancha) and others performed in the evening. The musicians were accompanied by the Azerbaijan State Orchestra of Folk Instruments conducted by Ilaha Huseynova.

At the concert, samples of folk music and works of Azerbaijani composers were sounded. The concert was welcomed with great interest.

It should be noted that the main goal of the concert, organized within the framework of the project

"Support for Youth", is to identify and assist in the development of young talents in Azerbaijan.

The author of the project idea is the director of the philharmonic, folk Artist Murad Adygozalzade,and the coordinator is Aila Kerimova-Zakaria.
