An essay competition on “Azerbaijan is a masterpiece of Heydar Aliyev” dedicated to the “Year of Heydar Aliyev” is announced among the students of Azerbaijan University. Our students wishing to take part in the competition should send their essays on the following and similar topics to pr@au.edu.az until October 16, 2023, specifying “Essay contest” in the subject line:
- Heydar Aliyev and Karabakh
- Political heritage of Heydar Aliyev
- Public activity of Heydar Aliyev
- Heydar Aliyev and economic reforms
- Heydar Aliyev and education in Azerbaijan
- Heydar Aliyev and the economy of Azerbaijan
- Heydar Aliyev and the culture of Azerbaijan
- Heydar Aliyev and modern state building
- Heydar Aliyev and the national interests of Azerbaijan
- Heydar Aliyev and the oil strategy of Azerbaijan
- Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani model of foreign policy.
Essays submitted to the competition should be compiled in Times New Roman font in “MS Word” in 12 size, with an interval of 1.15; In the upper right corner of the text should be the full name; specialty and year of education; email address of the student; and in the middle should be the name of essay; Essays should be written in Azerbaijani and the number of words should be in the range of 500 – 700; Each participant can submit only 1 (one) essay to the competition.
Selection of submitted essays will be carried out by Jury (Samira Mammadova, Huseyn Huseynli, Khayala Aliyeva, Farhad Madatov, Laman Gasymly) from October 17 to October 31, and the winners and distinguished ones will be determined.
The awarding ceremony will take place in November. Winners of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and those who distinguished themselves will be awarded a certificate of honor and a gift.
The competition is held in order to ensure the implementation of Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated September 29, 2022 on declaring 2023 the “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in the Republic of Azerbaijan and the action plan of Azerbaijan University to be implemented within the “Year of Heydar Aliyev”
The purpose of the competition is to keep the focus of research and study by students of the rich and multifaceted heritage of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
