ERASMUS + MOBILITY PROGRAMME 

Erasmus+ KA1, or Key Action 1, is a funding program within the broader Erasmus+ initiative established by the European Union. It specifically focuses on supporting mobility and cooperation in the field of education, training, and youth. KA1 provides financial support for individuals and organizations involved in various educational activities, including student and staff exchanges, professional development courses, and strategic partnerships between institutions. The goal is to enhance the quality and European dimension of education, fostering collaboration and the exchange of knowledge and best practices across participating countries.

For student mobilities 

A participant awarded the Erasmus+ exchange program is eligible to engage in the program once within a specific educational level. Students who want to study at the bachelor's or master's degree level for one semester in a foreign country within the Erasmus+ program are required to submit the following documents:

  • Minimum grade point average score (GPA) should exceed 75. 
  • Language proficiency certificate (English at B2 level-preferable)
  • Transcript
  • Passport

Students who want to participate in the competition are invited to an interview by a commission organized within the University (questions on language and specialty are asked).

Grading System

For staff mobilities 

Teaching mobility: This activity allows a full-time employee or staff member of a Higher Education Institution to teach for 8 hours at a partner higher education institution abroad.

Training mobility:  This activity supports the higher education institution's full time administrative staff to participate in overseas training events (excluding conferences) and internships at a partner higher education institution.

Mobility time: 1-2 weeks

Educators and administrative personnel desiring to take part in the exchange program are required to provide the subsequent documents:

  • Completed and signed application form
  • CV
  • Passport

Note: Applicants who wish to participate in the exchange must have a minimum level of English of B2.

MEVLANA EXCHANGE PROGRAMME

Since 2013 Azerbaijan University develops cooperation with Turkish higher education institutions in the framework of Mevlana Exchange Programme. The Mevlana Exchange Programme focuses on facilitating the exchange of students and academic staff among Turkish higher education institutions. Azerbaijani students may study in Turkiye for one (minimum) or two (maximum) terms and academic staff may lecture abroad from two weeks (minimum) to three months (maximum).  

Application Requirements of Mevlana Exchange Programme:

  • To be studying at associate degree, bachelor degree, master degree or phd degree of higher education programmes,
  • Grade point average (GPA) of associate degree and undergraduate students must be at least 2,5 on a four point scale,
  • Grade point average (GPA) of graduate students (MA, PhD) must be at least 3.00 on a four point scale,
  • 50% language score + 50% GPA
  • Students who are in their first year cannot participate in this program during their first semester.

Terms and conditions for students: Mevlana Exchange Programme students continue to take their other scholarships and grants in their home countries and they have to make registration in their home institutions. They pay tuition fee to their home institution if they are supposed to and they do not pay any other tuition fee to the host institution. Outgoing students to Turkish higher education institutions are granted according to the ratios determined by Council of Higher Education Executive Board. In terms of the scholarships that will be paid to the students, 70% of the scholarship amount is paid monthly. For the student’s remaining grant payment, the ratio of total credits of the succeeded courses to the courses that the student is obliged to take as obligatory courses will be considered.
