The selection process for new “Star Students” has officially begun

- Academic performance - 30 points (GPA of 81+ for the completed semester, no repeated courses or academic arrears)
- Scientific activity - 20 points (in academic conferences, publication of articles or theses, active involvement in the Student Scientific Society and other research groups)
- Social and public engagement, special skills, representation and leadership qualities - 20 points (initiative and responsibility in public activities, participation in volunteer and charitable initiatives, demonstration of initiative and responsibility, achievements in arts and sports, etc.)
- Foreign language proficiency and digital skills - 20 points (participation in skill-enhancing training beyond the University’s core curriculum, international internships, international certification in at least one foreign language (IELTS, TOEFL, etc.), the ICT certificate
- Discipline and exemplary conduct - 10 points (adherence to University disciplinary regulations, refraining from actions that may harm the University’s reputation or contradict its moral values, and gaining respect among faculty members and students, etc.)
We are pleased to inform our students that the “Star Student” project is announcing the start of applications for the spring semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. Students who wish to participate in the project must submit their applications to their respective faculty deaneries by February 11, 2025, till 17:00. Supporting documents confirming compliance with the selection criteria (academic transcript, relevant certificates, and other documentation) must be submitted together with the application. Compliance with the selection criteria will be evaluated based on the submitted documents.
It should be noted that the implementation of the project began in the fall semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The goal of the “Star Student” project is to identify hardworking and talented students distinguished by their academic excellence, social engagement, and personal development, and to present their achievements to the wider community. The project applies to undergraduate students. One “Star Student” from each faculty is selected by a jury based on the results of the semester after the completion of each exam session. Selected students receive a monthly scholarship of 100 AZN during the semester in which they are awarded the title.
Candidates nominated by the deaneries are assessed by the jury on a 100-point scale based on the following criteria:
