Azerbaijan University has been represented at the “International Women`s Studies” conference
Azerbaijan University has been represented at the 'International Women's Studies Conference' held in Elazığ, Türkiye. The conference was hosted by Fırat University from October 16 to 18 and was jointly organized by Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Düzce University, Giresun University, Sakarya University, Sinop University, Süleyman Demirel University, and Yalova University.
Aygün Muradlı, the director of the Social-Psychological Research and Counseling Center of Azerbaijan University, presented the findings of her research titled 'Gender Analysis and Leadership Experiences of Women in Executive Positions in The Workplace in Azerbaijan' at the international scientific event.
Aygün Muradlı provided information in her report about the achievements in the protection of human rights and the provision of gender equality in the Republic of Azerbaijan in the 21st century. The report noted that ensuring equal representation of men and women in various fields such as social issues, education, culture, economics, science, and diplomacy is one of the main goals of state policy in Azerbaijan.
The speech also highlighted the international commitments that the Republic of Azerbaijan has undertaken in the field of gender, and a comparison and analysis of female and male leadership styles was conducted. It was discussed how gender equality and the differences in leadership can be integrated to achieve successful results in an organizational environment.
In her speech, Aygün Muradlı emphasized that providing gender balance could positively change workplace culture by presenting relevant statistical data. She stated that this approach allows for the full realization of the potential of both women and men and serves to create more inclusive and effective leadership systems.
The report presented statistics on employees and leaders in institutions such as science and education, healthcare, civil service, and the banking sector, along with the gender factor regarding political parties registered with the state.
During the center director's visit to Turkey, she also met with Professor Fahrettin Göktaş, the rector of Fırat University, as well as several heads of structural divisions. The meetings mainly discussed the areas of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Fırat universities.
Note that the purpose of the 'International Women’s Studies' conference is to provide a platform for researchers in the fields of gender equality and women's rights and to strengthen international collaborations in this area.
