Azerbaijan University was represented at the events organized by the QS World University Rankings Agency
Azerbaijan University was represented at the training sessions and meetings conducted by the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) International Ranking Agency in September.
With the organization of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education and the participation of Sergei Khristoliubov, the regional director of the International Ranking Agency, the next training and team-building meeting for those responsible for international rankings in higher education institutions has been held. During the meeting, Sergei Khristoliubov delivered a presentation on 'The Role of Rankings in Enhancing the Global Competitiveness of Higher Education Institutions' and presented reports based on analytical data specific to Azerbaijan. Within the framework of the meeting, extensive discussions were held regarding the opportunities created for improving ranking indicators and the challenges encountered in the process. At the end of the session, certificates were presented to the participants.
Representatives from 30 higher education institutions participated in the event organized to raise awareness on the topics of 'International Visibility, Internationalization, and Development.' Azerbaijan University was represented by Elmira Ismayilova, the head of the International Relations Department.
Another event was held under the organization of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education and hosted by Azerbaijan Technical University. The event, attended by representatives from the QS agency and those responsible for rankings at higher education institutions, involved discussions on the methodology of QS rankings, the results announced this year for Azerbaijani higher education institutions in QS rankings, and strategies for participation and progress in the rankings. Azerbaijan University was represented at the event by Elmira Ismayilova, the head of the International Relations Department, and Sevlan Gurbanova, an employee of the department.
