Professor from Turkiye Hasan Sacit Keseroglu delivered lecture to Azerbaijan University students
Professor Hasan Sacit Keseroglu from Kastamonu University in Turkey delivered a lecture to the students of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Azerbaijan University. The lecture, organized at the initiative of the Faculty’s Student Scientific Society, focused on the topic: “The Unity of Philosophy and Scientific Knowledge.”
The lecture covered various themes, including the emergence of humans and the evolutionary hypothesis, the formation and development of language during human evolution, the creation of fantastical representations of the world, the origin of mythology as the first philosophical worldview, and the functions mythology served in primitive societies, the emergence of myths and religions, and the development of social consciousness. It was emphasized that mythology is intricately linked to human consciousness and science. All forms of human creativity, including philosophical thought and science, originated from the mythological worldview.
The guest professor concluded by answering numerous questions posed by students on the subject.
