Azerbaijan University hosted an event titled “The Scent of Khari Bulbul”, dedicated to Victory Day, celebrated on November 8. The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs.

Participants of the event included: Yusif Gasimov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of Azerbaijan University, Aykhan Shahbazsoy, lecturer of the Department of Social Work Organization and founder of the “Sossfera” Social Development Club, Javid Rahimli, Deputy Director of the Department for the Organization of Mobile and Semi-Stationary Social Services of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Colonel Habil Mammadrzayev, “Gazis of Special Forces, Families of Martyrs and Veterans” Public Union representative of Absheron Region, Kamil Musavi, participant of the Patriotic War and Senior Lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan.

Speeches emphasized the moral significance of the Victory in the Patriotic War. It was noted that for the past five years, the people of Azerbaijan have proudly celebrated November 8 as Victory Day - a symbol of unity, heroism, and resilience. The 44-day Patriotic War marked a turning point in the history of Azerbaijan; historic justice was restored thanks to national unity, the strength of the army, political will, determination, and the military leadership of the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Ilham Aliyev. Speakers also highlighted that serving the homeland is possible not only with weapons, but also through knowledge, science, and hard work. Young people were encouraged to embrace the highest mission - to serve their country through education and scientific advancement.

The program featured artistic performances, musical pieces, and poetry recitals by students of Azerbaijan University and the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts.

The event was organized by the “Sossfera” Social Development Club under the Department of Social Work Organization at Azerbaijan University.
