The next training dedicated to the development of academic writing skills was held at the Department of Foreign Languages of Azerbaijan University. The lecturer of the Department Gulchohra Gadirova made a presentation at the training on “IELTS Writing Task 2: Advantages and Disadvantages”.

During the training, participants received comprehensive guidance on the key elements of this type of essay, including proper structuring, coherent idea development, argument support, and writing clear and concise conclusions. In the practical segment, attendees explored the specific features of the “Advantages and Disadvantages” essay format and completed exercises on essay outlining and structuring in accordance with academic standards.

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session involving instructors from the Department of Foreign Languages as well as colleagues from the Department of Translation and Philology.
