The XXIV Graduation Day dedicated to the graduates of the 2017/2018 of Azerbaijan University was held at Excelsior Hotel & Spa Baku.

The official part of the event started with the performance of the National Anthem and Azerbaijan University Anthem. The Rector of the University Saadat Aliyeva, Vice rector for Science Yusif Gasimov, Head of Foreign Languages Department Samira Mammadova congratulated the graduates and wished them success. It was noted in the speeches that Azerbaijan University, distinguished by its specific weight in the country's higher education institution, for the 24th time, introduces its graduates to the business world.
It was emphasized that the university staff and teachers are convinced that the graduates will be able to validate their work with their activities in life, to constantly name and dignify the name of Azerbaijan University which is named after our homeland, to work for the sake of strengthening our country and its comprehensive development. 

Honorary decrees of the rector of Azerbaijan University were presented to the graduates of the university in the official part. Vafa Akhundova, who graduated from the university with a 95.17 average success indicator delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates and placed her own picture on the board of "Honors of Azerbaijan University"

Following the official part, throwing graduation caps ceremony of the students was held in the open air. The event continued with Murad Arif’s concert and DJ program.

It should be noted that this year overall 215 graduates are graduating from bachelor and master levels of Azerbaijan University. 11 of them have been awarded the honorary decree of the rector of Azerbaijan University.

• Turan Nurmammadova (1st of the Faculty of Business and Economics)
• Vafa Akhundova (1st of the Faculty of Humanities)
• Sarkhan Abbaszade (1st of the Faculty of ICT)
