Azerbaijan University professor elected a corresponding member of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Kamran Aliyev, Azerbaijani language and literature professor at the University of Azerbaijan, has been elected a corresponding member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) as a specialist in folklore.

 

Doctor of philological sciences, professor Kamran Imran Aliyev is a member of Azerbaijan Poets Union and researcher of the Romantic style.  He is the author of monographs - “Literary-theoretical viewpoints of XX century romanticists” (1985), “Huseyn Javid's personality and Poetry” (1997), “From Mirza Fatali to Huseyn Javid” (1998), “Javid’s Miracle” (2002), “Azerbaijan romantic poetry” (2002), “Theory of Azerbaijan Romanticism” (2006), “Romanticism and folklore” (2006), “Huseyn Javid: Life and creativity” (2008), “If there were not Abbas Zamanov” (2011), “The epic poetry: Dede Korkut and Koroglu” (2011), “Critical poetry” (2012), textbooks -  “Literature” (2010), “the Azerbaijani language” (2011) and books – “Sederek Wars” (1992).

 

According to the decree of President Ilham Aliyev of 2015 regarding the 70th anniversary of ANAS, Kamran Aliyev was given the title of "Honored Science Worker" to recognize his contribution to the development of science in Azerbaijan.

 

Azerbaijan University staff congratulate Mr Aliyev on being elected a corresponding member of ANAS and wish him good luck in his scientific and teaching work.
