A delegation from Azerbaijan University participated in the sixth meeting of the “Rectors’ Club: Central Asia+” initiative, one of the prominent international platforms for dialogue in the field of higher education. The University was represented at the meeting, held under the theme “Branding and Strategy of Eurasian Universities: Balancing Identity and Global Ambitions”, by Elmira Ismayilova, Head of the International Relations Department, and Sevlan Gurbanova, Department Specialist. The primary objective of the event was to explore strategies for the development of universities within the Eurasian higher education space based on their values and missions, and to discuss ways of preserving institutional uniqueness while integrating into the global education system.

The event, co-organized by the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University and Almaty Management University (Kazakhstan), featured panel discussions on several pressing topics, including “Local Identity in a Global Context”, “Eurasian Universities: Development Through Values, Culture, and Mission”, “Digital Strategy and Internationalization of Eurasian Universities”.

It should be noted that the “Rectors’ Club: Central Asia+” serves as a platform for experience exchange and discussion of best management practices among leaders of higher education institutions from Central Asian countries and partner states.
