The Rector of Azerbaijan University, Saadat Aliyeva, the Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs, Yusif Gasimov, the Head of the Science Department, Latifa Aghamaliyeva, the Head of the International Relations Department, Elmira Ismayilova, and the department specialist, Sevlan Gurbanova, participated in the event "Internationalization of Science and Higher Education," organized by the State Agency for Science and Higher Education.

The event was attended by the Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yalchin Rafiyev, heads and representatives of  relevant state agencies, scientific and higher education institutions, as well as international students and responsible staff members involved in organizing their education.

At the event, the Director of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, Ulkar Sattarova, delivered an opening speech, emphasizing the purpose and significance of the event in terms of the internationalization of science and higher education.

The Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, addressed issues such as enhancing the international rankings of universities, stimulating research processes within universities, and organizing activities aimed at the development of science in the country. Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev emphasized the importance of international students' education in our country as a tool of international public diplomacy and noted the contribution of the “Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant” to this process. Mujdat Hasanov, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, presented a statistical report on the work done in the field of internationalization of science and higher education.

The official part of the event concluded with the presentation of scholarship certificates to international students who had earned the right to study under the "Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant" program.

 The event continued with panel sessions on the topics "How to Bring Science to Universities?" and "Internationalization of Higher Education.
