Azerbaijan University continues to maintain its leadership in international rankings, demonstrating high performance in both the volume of research conducted and key reference indicators. Notably, the University's H-index in the Web of Science database has increased by 5 points compared to 2024, reaching 34, while in the Scopus database, it has risen to 37. Based on this metric, the University ranks 6th in the country in both Web of Science and Scopus databases.

According to research results from 2024, University staff published 99 articles in journals indexed in the Web of Science database. In terms of the number of published articles, Azerbaijan University ranks 7th among universities in the country. The number of citations for articles authored by University staff and published in journals indexed in the Web of Science database reached 1,379 in 2024, while in Scopus, the number of citations totaled 1,741. Based on these results, the University ranks 5th in the country.

In the Azerbaijan National H-index Ranking 2024, the University secured 7th place among the country's higher education institutions. The National H-index ranking is based on data from Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar, assessing the scientific productivity of researchers, research groups, and institutions nationwide. These data are used to calculate the national H-index score and determine the University's position in the ranking.
