The Round University Ranking (RUR) has released its 2025 international ranking table. Azerbaijan University has risen by 85 positions compared to its 2024 standing, now ranking 4th among higher education institutions in Azerbaijan. This year, the University's RUR ranking index stands at 970, improving from last year’s score of 1055.

Azerbaijan University made its debut in the RUR ranking in 2024 and has maintained its national position since then.

It is worth noting that the RUR evaluates universities based on 20 indicators grouped into four key areas: teaching quality (40%), research quality (40%), international diversity (10%), and financial sustainability (10%).
