The autumn exam session for the 2024/2025 academic year has commenced at Azerbaijan University. Starting today, the session will run until February 2, 2025.

By the directive of University Rector Saadat Aliyeva, an “Examination Headquarters” has been established to oversee the organization of exams, ensure transparency and objectivity in evaluating students’ knowledge, and encryption of final exam results. The Headquarters operates three specialized commissions: Examination Oversight Commission, Appeals Commission, Examination Process Investigation Commission.

The purpose of the “Examination Oversight Commission” is to monitor the examination process and promptly address any potential adverse situations. The “Appeals Commission” was established to resolve disputes that may arise regarding exam results during the examination session and, if necessary, to reassess a student’s exam responses. Meanwhile, the “Examination Process Investigation Commission” is tasked with examining contentious issues between students and faculty during exams, upholding principles of student-centeredness, democracy, and transparency. 

Exams during the session are conducted in written, test-based, and, when necessary, oral formats in accordance with the approved schedule.
