International conference held in Uzbekistan in cooperation with Azerbaijan University
The international conference entitled “Innovations in Linguistics and Language Education: Global Trends and Local Perspectives” was held at Termez University of Economics and Service in Uzbekistan in cooperation with Azerbaijan University. The conference brought together scholars, researchers, and specialists from various countries, including Turkiye, Indonesia, Japan, the United States, Tajikistan, and others, who delivered presentations on contemporary trends in linguistics and education, as well as innovative approaches in these fields.
Azerbaijan University was represented at the international conference by professor of the Department of Translation and Philology Azad Mammadov and head of the Department of International Relations Elmira Ismayilova.
Elmira Ismayilova presented a paper entitled “Language and Quality Assurance in Higher Education in the Era of Globalization”. Her presentation addressed issues such as the role of language in shaping the quality of higher education, as well as the importance of communicative competence and a multilingual environment in the process of internationalization.
Azad Mammadov, professor of the Department of Translation and Philology, participated in the conference online and delivered a presentation entitled “Transition from Natural (Human-to-Human) Communication to AI-Supported Discourses (Human-AI): A Linguistic Approach”. In his paper, he discussed the impact of artificial intelligence on linguistic and communicative processes, as well as the opportunities that emerging technologies create for linguistic research.
The scholarly discussions held within the framework of the conference provided broad opportunities for the development of international cooperation in linguistics and education, the identification of new research directions, and the exchange of innovative ideas.
