The “Sossfera” Social Development Club, operating under the Department of Social Work Organization at Azerbaijan University, and the “Social Support for Disabled Persons” Public Union co-organized a charity concert titled “Voices Call for Unity”. The event was dedicated to May 5th – International Day for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

The event, held at the “Kapellhaus” German-Azerbaijani Cultural Center, was attended by the Rector of Azerbaijan University, PhD in Philology Saadat Aliyeva, Advisor to the Rector Nushaba Guliyeva, Chairperson of the Public Union Tarana Musayeva, members of the Public Union and their parents, a group of University lecturers and students, representatives of the Pirallahi Youth Center, Baku residents, and tourists. The Honored Artist Rafael Isgandarov was the guest of honor at the event.

The charity concert opened with a scene dedicated to protecting the rights of people with disabilities and children. This opening emotionally conveyed to the participants the importance of inclusion and social solidarity, which were the main messages of the event.

Following the opening, a rich artistic program performed by the members of the “Social Support for Disabiled Persons” Public Union was presented. They performed songs of various genres, recited poems, and demonstrated dances. The performances left a pleasant impression on the participants and added a special atmosphere to the event.

The primary goal of the event was to draw attention to the rights of people with disabilities, promote their integration into society, and strengthen the atmosphere of social sensitivity, as well as to collect donations to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities.
