Azerbaijan University students advanced to IMPC semifinals

A team of students from the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies at Azerbaijan University: Alijan Mikayilov, Huseyngulu Rzayev, and Ulvi Sadigzade earned a 3rd-degree diploma at the University students Caucasus Regional Round of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC), as well as qualified for the semifinals of the competition in the world championship. The semifinal stage of the 49th ICPC – International Collegiate Programming Contest for the University students and the South Caucasus Open Championship will take place from December 13 to 15 in Georgia. 

The team is preparing for the international competition under the guidance of the Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies, Asif Pashayev, and Mathematics and Informatics Department lecturer, Ali Gurbanov. 

Notably, the ICPC is a prestigious algorithmic programming competition for university students worldwide, recognized as one of the most prestigious contests globally in terms of participation and scientific-technical rigor.
