At the meeting of the Azerbaijani language and literature department of  Azerbaijan University, the preliminary discussion of the dissertation work on "Epistemological analysis of Azerbaijani literature in the memoir genre" (based on the works of Hamida Mammadguluzade, Banin, Manaf Suleymanov) was held.

In the meeting chaired by the head of the department of Azerbaijani language and literature, associate professor Ulviyya Rahimova, the scientific supervisor of the dissertation was prof. Asif Hajiyev, reviewers prof. Gorkhmaz Guliyev, prof. Akif Huseynli and the teachers of the department Assoc. Tariyel Ghani, Assoc. Ulviyya Aliyeva, Huseyn Huseynli, Khayala Jafarova, Aysel Hamidova, Aynur Hasanova participated. The teachers of the department prof. Maharram Gasimli, Assoc. Lala Aliguliyeva joined the discussion online. The chairman introduced the applicant to the discussion participants and informed about his scientific and pedagogical activity.

The applicant provided information about the scientific relevance of the dissertation work, the purpose and tasks of the research, the main scientific innovations, introduced the participants to the brief content of the work, and answered the questions.

Later, the professor-teacher staff of the department discussed the presented dissertation and highly evaluated it as a completed scientific research work.

In the end, it was noted that the dissertation met the requirements set by the Higher Attestation Commission for the doctoral degree in philology, and it was decided to recommend it to the next stage of defense.
