Presentation of “Fintech Talks” Project was Organized at Azerbaijan University

The Azerbaijan Fintech Association Public Union (AzFina) held the next meeting of the “Fintech Talks” project at Azerbaijan University. Students of the Faculty of Business and Economics attended the event organized by the Department of Economics and Management.

Javid Salimzade, Senior Specialist of the Department of Development and Promotion of Partnership in Financial Markets of the Department of Financial Technologies and Innovations of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CBA), Zeynal Karimzada, founder and director of “ePoint” company, Azer Akbarov, executive director of Azerbaijan Fintech Association Public Union (AzFina), Ayshan Hasanova, business development and marketing expert of the Union, made presentations and reports at the meeting.

CBA representative Javid Salimzade made a presentation on “Azerbaijan's Fintech strategy and future prospects”. He provided students with insights into financial technologies and innovations, key fintech trends, open banking and its advantages, specialized regulations, virtual assets, virtual asset services, and CBA approach to virtual assets, among other topics.

The founder and director of “ePoint” company Zeynal Karimzade, delivered a report covering critical aspects of fintech product development, including creating new products, prototyping user interfaces, meeting customer needs, and successfully introducing products to the market.

Representatives of “AzFina” Azer Akbarov and Ayshan Hasanova informed participants about the project. It was highlighted that the initiative aims to expand students' knowledge in fintech by fostering close collaboration with universities, creating career opportunities, building professional networks, promoting innovation, organizing hands-on workshops, and discussing new ideas.

The event concluded with a Q&A session, where students actively engaged in discussions and had their questions answered.
