Head of the Department of Political and Social Sciences at Azerbaijan University, PhD in Political Sciences, Associate Professor Elvin Talyshinsky delivered a welcome address at an international academic and practical conference organized by Mordovia State Pedagogical University named after M. E. Evseviev, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War.

In his remarks, Elvin Talyshinsky welcomed the participants on behalf of the Rector of Azerbaijan University, Saadat Aliyeva, and the university community, and wished the conference success.

Continuing his speech, Talyshinsky emphasized the exceptional resilience, courage, and sacrifice demonstrated by the Azerbaijani people both on the front lines and the home front in achieving historic victory. “More than 600,000 Azerbaijanis fought heroically at the front, and our oil workers, through their tireless efforts, played a decisive role in supplying fuel to the army. Azerbaijan consistently advocates for peace, stability, and mutual understanding among nations, and we believe that only by uniting around historical truth can we build a future free from war and destruction,” he stated.

The head of the department also underlined that both universities will continue to be united by shared academic and educational interests, a commitment to the development of international partnerships, and the strengthening of scholarly collaboration.
