On behalf of the staff of Azerbaijan University, we sincerely congratulate the Chairman of the Science and Education Committee of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, an outstanding historian, scholar, public figure, and Prof. of the Department of Political and Social Sciences, Anar Isgandarov, on being awarded the “Order of Honour” by President Ilham Aliyev, as well as on the occasion of his 70th anniversary!

Prof. Anar Isgandarov`s academic and pedagogical activity, his socio-political standing, his invaluable contribution to the study of Azerbaijani history and the patriotic education of the younger generation, as well as his role in strengthening Azerbaijani statehood, shaping public opinion, and reinforcing the national ideology, have always been highly appreciated by the academic community and the leadership of our country.

The fact that President Ilham Aliyev awarded him the “Progress” Medal in 2009, the Order “For Service to the Fatherland” in 2016, and the “Order of Honour” on the occasion of his 70th anniversary is a clear expression of the high recognition of the distinguished historian`s scientific, pedagogical, and socio-political activities.

His rich scholarly legacy, pedagogical dedication, and principled position serve as a true example for young researchers.
