Rector of Azerbaijan University, PhD in Philology Saadat Aliyeva, took part in an official reception held at the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan. The event was organized to welcome Mr. Michael Hackett, the Embassy’s new Public Affairs Officer, and Mr. Anthony Dean Franchina, his Deputy.

During the event, discussions focused on the ongoing collaboration between Azerbaijan University and the U.S. Embassy, with particular attention to future plans in the field of education. Also in attendance was Elmira Ismayilova, Head of the University’s International Relations Department.

It is worth noting that during the 2025/2026 academic year, Azerbaijan University will host one of three tutors arriving in the country under the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Program. This program, along with the partnerships established through it, strengthens the University’s international ties and opens up new opportunities for students, offering valuable international experience and supporting the development of language skills.
