An educational event titled “Healthy Youth - Strong Future” was held at Azerbaijan University at the initiative of the “SosSphere” Social Development Club, operating under the Department of Social Work Organization. The guest of the event was Nail Kamarli, Head of the “Center for Mobilization Against Drugs and Harmful Addictions” Public Union. The event aimed to combat drug abuse and promote a healthy lifestyle among young people.

The event opened with welcoming remarks by Fuad Jabbarzada, a second-year Social Work student and Deputy Chair of the Club, who emphasized the relevance and urgency of the topic. This was followed by speeches from Aykhan Shahbazsoy, the founder of the Club’s concept, and Nigar Shahhuseynbayova, Head of the Department of Social Work Organization. They noted that drug addiction has become a widespread and alarming problem affecting society today, stressing the importance of youth awareness and education.

Guest speaker Nail Kamarli provided information about the activities of the public union he leads and spoke about the dangers of drug addiction. He emphasized that drug dependency leads individuals to destruction, causing severe physical, psychological, and moral harm. After his presentation, he screened several awareness videos he had prepared and held a discussion on the topic.

The event also featured the participation of an individual who had overcome drug addiction. He shared his personal story with the students and urged young people to avoid harmful habits.
