Preparations for the International Conference on Social Work & Social Research are Continuing
Preparations for the 2nd International Conference on Social Work & Social Research, scheduled for May 23–25, 2025, are in full swing. The event is being jointly organized by Azerbaijan University, the Center for Social Research, Fırat University and Recep Tayyip Erdogan University of Turkey.
The conference, held under the auspices of Azerbaijan University, aims to bring together researchers in the field to discuss pressing issues in social work and social policy, exchange experiences in the development and application of modern technologies, and explore social practices aimed at improving the social and psychological well-being of various population groups.
Yasuhiro Kotera, Professor at the University of Nottingham (UK) and Osaka University (Japan) will be one of the keynote speakers at the plenary session of the Conference. The plenary speaker's speech will be on “Feeling well across cultures”.
Yasuhiro Kotera's main research directions include mental health, intrinsic motivation, and cross-cultural psychology. Kotera, the author of more than 200 scientific works, has an H-index of 44.
It should be noted that the first Conference was held on November 24-25, 2023 in a hybrid format. It attracted 156 reports from 32 countries, with researchers and specialists from nearly 40 countries participating in the conference’s panel sessions, discussing the qualifications and practical experience in social work on an international level.
