A textbook entitled “Sociology” has been published, co-authored by Nigar Shahhuseynbayova, Head of the Department of Social Work Organization at Azerbaijan University, and Saadat Mammadova, Assoc. Prof. of the same Department.

The textbook, intended for faculty members and students of higher and specialized secondary educational institutions, as well as a broad readership, provides an overview of the fundamentals, essence, and historical development of sociology as a science. In addition to the sociology of the family, the sociology of youth, the sociology of spiritual life, as well as the development characteristics of culture, science and educational institutions, the sociology of the state, the sociology of politics, and other meso level sociological directions, information was also presented about such directions as digital sociology and the sociology of artificial intelligence, which have gained significance in the 21st century. 

The book also delves into the history and development of empirical sociology, a distinct branch of sociological research.
