Stefan Cojocaru Invited as a Plenary Speaker at the International Conference

Preparations for the 2nd International Conference on Social Work & Social Research, scheduled for May 23–25, 2025, are in full swing. The event is being jointly organized by Azerbaijan University, the Center for Social Research, Fırat University and Recep Tayyip Erdogan University of Turkey.

Hosted by Azerbaijan University, the Conference aims to bring together researchers in the field to discuss pressing issues in social work and social policy, exchange experiences in the development and application of modern technologies, and explore social practices to improve the social and psychological well-being of various population groups.

Professor Stefan Cojocaru of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Romania has been invited to the Conference as a plenary speaker. The plenary speaker's presentation will focus on “The Appreciative Approach in Social Work”.

Stefan Cojocaru brings extensive experience as a trainer in social assistance and child protection, social service evaluation, public health assessment, and the coordination of national research on child protection. With an H-index of 25, he has published numerous scholarly works in sociology, social assistance, and public health, addressing contemporary theoretical and practical aspects of social and community health. Additionally, Stefan Cojocaru serves as the editor-in-chief of the “Social Issues” journal published by Azerbaijan University.

It should be noted that the first edition of the Conference, held on November 24-25, 2023 took place in a hybrid format. It attracted 156 reports from 32 countries, with researchers and specialists from nearly 40 countries participating in panel sessions to discuss qualifications and practical experiences in social work at an international level.
