Azerbaijan University hosted an informational webinar titled “Startup Projects: from Idea to Success”, conducted by Shamsi Afandizada, the doctoral candidate of the State Program.

The online webinar, organized by the International Magistrate and Doctoral Studies Center, provided participants with insights into the differences between business and startups, the development and implementation of new business ideas, the nature and significance of startup projects, their role in the global economy, types and stages of startup projects, project financeability opportunities, reasons for startup failures, and other related topics. Examples of successful global and local startups were also discussed.

The webinar emphasized that startups often emerge in response to specific societal needs and challenges. Addressing the concepts of “idea” and “realit”, the doctoral candidate highlighted that while a solid idea is crucial, the surrounding ecosystem plays an equally significant role in the success of a startup.
