Department of Foreign Languages launches academic writing training
The Department of Foreign Languages has launched its series of academic writing training sessions scheduled for the spring semester. Speaking at the opening of the training cycle, head of the Department Aygun Gasimova announced that a total of 10 sessions are planned throughout the semester. Various types of academic writing will be discussed during these sessions, aimed at enriching the faculty’s expertise in academic writing.
The first session was conducted by department lecturer Aysel Mehdiyeva. She provided participants with detailed insights into narrative essays and delivered a presentation covering the structure, objectives, and techniques commonly used in this type of writing.
During the training, which was attended by instructors from both the Department of Foreign Languages and the Department of Translation and Philology, a series of activities related to the topic were demonstrated, followed by an exchange of ideas among participants.
