A new textbook titled “Theory of Argumentation” has been published, authored by Rauf Samadov, PhD in Philosophy and lecturer at the Department of Political and Social Sciences of Azerbaijan University.

The first textbook in the country dedicated to the theory of argumentation aims to foster analytical thinking and reasoning skills among students and researchers. The book explains methods of justifying and refuting positions, explores how these methods depend on audience and problem context, examines the specific features of reasoning across various fields of thought and activity, and addresses other related issues.

It should be noted that the textbook, recommended for publication by the decision of the University’s Academic Council, intended for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in philosophy, as well as for students pursuing other humanities and social sciences disciplines and those engaged in academic research.
