PTE (Pearson Test of English) Examination Center
Azerbaijan University, as an official sub-center for the international certification examination PTE (Pearson Test of English), provides students with the opportunity to verify their English language proficiency through a globally recognized certificate. The certificate is accepted by thousands of higher education institutions worldwide, as well as public and private organizations across various countries.
The PTE Examination Center was established in 2018 under the Department of Foreign Languages. The Center works to develop students` language skills, assess their level of English proficiency based on international standards, and enhance their competitiveness in future academic and professional endeavors. The Center organizes the Pearson international language examination once a year.
All students of Azerbaijan University are eligible to take part in the exam. Candidates undergo a preliminary assessment by the faculty of the Department of Foreign Languages and proceed through the corresponding selection stage.
The Pearson exam consists of two parts: speaking and written. The exam dates are determined by the Pearson organization. The speaking exam may be conducted approximately two weeks prior to the written exam. The written part assesses listening, reading, and writing skills, while the speaking part evaluates communicative, descriptive, and situational speaking skills of the students.

Participants who successfully pass all stages of the examination receive an internationally recognized PTE (Pearson Test of English) certificate.
