The literary and artistic event “Mahammad Fuzuli-530” dedicated to the 530th anniversary of the birth of the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Mahammad Fuzuli was held at Azerbaijan University. The event highlighted the rich heritage of the great poet, a rare example of artistic mastery, with students presenting poetic samples of his work. 

During the evening, rhythmic ghazals by Mahammad Fuzuli and excerpts from his deeply meaningful works, which reflect his views on the social, political, and moral issues of his time, were recited. The literary and artistic performance was accompanied by romances and music composed for Fuzuli's ghazals. 

In conclusion, faculty members in attendance: Gulnar Rzayeva, Head of the Department of Translation and Philology, and lecturers Huseyn Huseynli and Ulviyya Aliyeva, remarked on Mahammad Fuzuli's exceptional place and significance in the development of Azerbaijani literary thought and thanked the students. 

It should be noted that the students prepared for the literary and artistic event under the guidance of Solmaz Suleymanova, a lecturer at the Department of Translation and Philology. The event was organized following a decree by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated January 25, 2024, on the celebration of the 530th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet Mahammed Fuzuli.
