Azerbaijan University has also been included in the European ranking published by one of the world’s leading ranking agencies, Quacquarelli Symonds. According to the results of the QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026, Azerbaijan University ranks 601-650 in the list. In the QS World University Rankings: Western Asia 2026, it ranks 54th.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan University occupies one of the leading positions among the country universities in the “Papers per Faculty” indicator. This indicator demonstrates the effectiveness of the research activity carried out at the University and the continuous growth of the academic staff potential. At the same time, it is a real and measurable result of consistent and purposeful work aimed at improving the University`s positions in the international higher education space.

It should be noted that this year, six more Azerbaijani universities were included in the list “Best Universities in Europe according to QS”, published by the international ranking agency Quacquarelli Symonds. Thus, the number of universities in the country included in the ranking increased from 9 to 15 compared to last year. Azerbaijan University, having been included in this ranking for the first time, has strengthened its position among the country`s leading higher education institutions.
