A teacher of the department of organization of social work attended the training program in Türkiye
Aygun Muradli, a teacher of the department of social work organization, and Vusala Mukhtarova, a 4th-year student studying social work, participated in the training program of the European Union, Turkish National Agency and the Green Crescent Society called "Youth take Initiative for healthy living" in Istanbul, Türkiye.
The training took place within the framework of the Erasmus program between September 25 and October 2. The training program is aimed at increasing the awareness of young people in the field of tobacco, alcohol, drug, technology, and gambling addiction, including healthy lifestyles, developing skills and attitudes through non-formal learning methods, contributing to the development of work with young people, strengthening international cooperation and increasing the exchange of intercultural experiences organized with goals.
Turkish Green Crescent, Austrian Green Crescent (Verein Neubeginn Suchtprävention), Azerbaijani Green Crescent (Public Union Against Harmful Habits), and Lebanese Green Crescent to educate young people aged 18-25 about a healthy lifestyle and drug addiction following the strategic goals of the European Union (Stardom Association) societies came together and exchanged experiences.
Training and learning related to prevention and intervention areas within the project, exchange of information for a healthy lifestyle, exchange of information on countries' approaches to addiction, sport, and physical activity, trips to get to know Istanbul better, visit the Green Crescent Counseling Center (YEDAM), a cultural night was organized to increase the intercultural dialogue.
On the first day of the program, our representatives gave information about the types and state of addiction, prevention, and intervention measures in Azerbaijan in the presentation entitled "Sharing the experience of healthy living and drug addiction".
Within the framework of the program, our representatives who participated in the event called "Cultural Night" made a presentation reflecting the history and culture of Azerbaijan. In the presentation, the representative of the country and the head of the group Aygun Muradli gave information about Azerbaijan, Karabakh, Khary bulbul, and national sweets.
At the end of the training program, the participants were presented with a certificate.
