Employees of Azerbaijan University visited Hungary within PETRA project

Advisor to the rector of Azerbaijan University Ali Hasanov, Head of International Relations Department Bakhtiyar Badalov, Dean of School of Social Work Aygun Musayeva and Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist Elchin Jafarov visited Debrecen University in Hungary within the groundwork of PETRA project (Promoting Excellence in Teaching and Learning in Azerbaijan Universities).

The main objective of the project is mutual exchange experience with European universities on improving teaching and learning excellence in higher education institutions in Azerbaijan. Our delegation participated in the plenary session, scientific conference and discussions within the framework of the project, also visited the university's educational buildings and laboratories.

Our colleagues assembled with the Head of Social Work Department as well. The prospects of mutual cooperation between the universities were discussed at the meeting and the sides reached agreement on bilateral cooperation within the frames of the Erasmus + program.

In the partnership with the Ministry of Education of the Azerbaijan Republic eight Azerbaijan Universities - Azerbaijan University, Khazar University, Nakhchivan State University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Ganja State University, Sumgayit State University, Azerbaijan University of Languages and Baku Slavic University take part in the project. The project coordinator is Valencia Polytechnic University in Spain. The project partners from Europe are Jyvaskyla University from Finland, Debrecen University from Hungary, Vienna Applied Science University from Austria and Gazi University from Turkey.
