Asif Hajiyev, professor of Azerbaijan University has published two textbooks for university students of Russian higher education institutions in Russia. The educational and methodical materials on "The history and methodology of literary criticism" provide information about the features of literary studies, the main stages of classical aesthetics and literary thought, the general literature of the 19th and 20th centuries, the methodology and character of teaching of philological sciences in literature. The course is also included the plans and topics of lectures and practical lessons of this course, which creates a scientifically-methodical basis for the teaching of literary criticism.

The second book is devoted to the new phenomenon of literary process and network literature. The content of the special course on "Russian Network Literature: Context, History, Typology, Poetics" includes the study of contemporary historical and literary contexts, literary trends in the Russian literary process at the junction of the centuries, the main stages of development of Russian literature, creative features and socio-legal aspects. The manual includes examples of Russian network literature, bibliographies, notes and self-help questions for each chapter, lists of Russian terminology dictionaries and Internet resources. For the first time in the field of Russian higher education, the resources include the contexts of contemporary Russian literature, as well as sections on Russian-speaking and bilingualism in modern cultural-historical environment and other peoples of the Russian prose, primarily Turks.

The publication notes that both books have been written in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education and are intended for Russian students studying in the fields of "Philology", "Russian Language and Literature" and "Journalism". The textbooks have been published at the initiative and at the expense of the publishing house "Higher Education" (Saratov, "Vuzovskoye obrazovanie"), specialized in publishing educational resources for Russian higher educational institutions.
