The official part of the 29th Graduation Day, dedicated to the graduates of the 2022/2023 academic year, was held at Azerbaijan University. The event was attended by the University administration, academic staff, guests and graduates of the current year.

The State Anthem and the anthem of Azerbaijan University were played at the event. The memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs of the First Karabakh War and the Patriotic War, who gave their lives for the territorial integrity and independence of Azerbaijan, was honored.

The official part began with the opening speech of the University rector, Saadat Aliyeva. Rector congratulated graduates and wished them success in their future activities. Saadat Aliyeva expressed confidence that graduates who left behind unforgettable studentship years have developed both their knowledge and skills, as well as personal qualities in these 4 years. She thanked the parents and academic staff of Azerbaijan University, who during their studentship period provided them with constant support, and spared no attention, care or assistance.

Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics Khanym Guliyeva, Head of the Department of Social Work Organization Tunzala Verdiyeva, Head of the Department of Economics and Management Tural Gojayev congratulated the graduates and conveyed their good wishes to them. The speakers thanked the graduates for choosing Azerbaijan University and said that they would be next to them in their working life or at the next level of education, as it has been for these four years. It was noted in the speeches that each graduate who is at the beginning of the path to great goals today is valuable and irreplaceable for academic staff of Azerbaijan University.

Guest of the event, founder and director of Huner Group Ehtiram Guliyev emphasized that the future of Azerbaijan is in the hands of young people and conveyed his best wishes to them. University with honors in the specialty of Legal Regulation of Economics in 2009, said that he was glad to see his lecturers again after 14 years, and shared memories of his studentship years.

Following the speeches, the students who graduated from the University with high academic performance were invited to the stage. It was noted that Madina Rahimova, a graduate of the Faculty of Humanities with a degree in Social Work, graduated from Azerbaijan University taking first place with a QPA of 94.71 in the 2022/2023 academic year. Madina Rahimova and 10 more students who graduated from the University with high academic performance were awarded honorary diplomas of Rector. The honors graduate of the University placed her photo on the “University Wall of Honor” and expressed gratitude to the staff and lecturers of the University on behalf of the graduates.

The official part continued with the concert program of singer Nofal Aslanov, as well as national dances were performed. Artistic part of the event will take place tonight at Excelsior Hotel&Spa Baku, by the pool.It should be noted that Azerbaijan University graduates 442 leavers, of which 350 are bachelors, 92 are masters.
